For our Non-Japanese fans: 'gansha' is Japanese for cumshotfacials. It's actually one word in Japanese.

Een goedemiddag,

Wij, Teenagecumshotfacials, willen ons graag inschrijven voor de Locomotief Bandcontest. We zijn een acapellacore band, opgericht in 2005 en dood verklaard in 2008, die voornamelijk eigen nummers covert. Dit is een vrij nieuw iets. Nummers die we met andere project (ik noem een Apolaire Atoomgeleerden of een Ghetto and the Cucumber Farmers) maken veranderen we in acapellacore-hits.

Nu las je zojuist dus dat wij dood verklaard zijn in 2008, dit hield in dat we na een onenigheidje met Marcel Tabbers, programmeur van het Zomerparkfeest, besloten om het doek te laten vallen. Ware het niet dat dit dé kans voor ons is om een fatsoenlijke comeback te bewerkstelligen. Een klein jaar na de breuk terugkomen op een belangrijke plek voor de Nederlands muziekhistorie. Een van onze eerste shows was op de welbekende Vresh avonden in de Locomotief. We hebben wel een aantal contractuele verplichtingen met een aantal sponsors dus daarover moeten we eerst nog een soort van contract met jullie afsluiten, maar we geloven dat dat wel goed gaat komen. Toch?

Beste organisatie,

Ik vraag me af wat de redenen zijn voor deze afwijzing. Onze band voldoet aan alle voorwaarden zoals deze op de website gesteld worden: we bestaan uit 3 leden, stammen uit de regio venlo en kunnen makkelijk 30 minuten optreden met eigen nummers. Daarnaast stellen jullie dat er vrijheid is voor een eigen creatieve sound, een voorwaarde die ons op het lijf geschreven is. Sterker nog, u krijgt van ons honderd euro als u een band weet te vinden met een creatievere sound dan de Teenagecumshotfacials.

De missie van uw organisatie klinkt veelbelovend. U bent op zoek naar vernieuwing, daar twee cd-spelers en een mengpaneel de live muziek uit café de Locomotief hebben verdrongen. Graag wijs ik u er daarom op dat wij op een van de eerste Vresh-avonden - inderdaad, een feest waarin de DJ centraal staat - al live optraden. Wij braken toen al een lans voor de herintrede van de livemuziek in deze kroeg, het is in onze ogen dan ook niet meer dan rechtvaardig dat we daar nu voor beloond worden.
Daarnaast stoor ik me uitermate aan het overvloedig gebruik van uitroeptekens in jullie bericht. Het lijkt haast alsof jullie blij zijn ons voortijdig de winst van deze bandcontest uit handen te kunnen nemen; de boodschap komt bij ons daardoor extra hard aan. Beleeft u er plezier aan om jong en regionaal poptalent al in een vroege fase van hun bestaan psychologisch te breken?

Teenagecumshotfacials live at Wintertuin 2008

The Teenagecumshotfacials appeared on the Wintertuin festival in Nijmegen, the biggest literary festival of the Netherlands. Two Teenage-members were in jail because of problems with some 'stadswachten' in Venlo, so we called in the help of Rocco Hueting, the famous cowbellplayer from the Dutch band De Staat (who are actually releasing their debut album this week on the brilliant Excelsior Recordings, check out their first video here)

The Teenagecumshotfacials performed some chapters from the upcoming biography 'En het was nog lang onrustig in Venlo' (translated as 'Hell, inferno, murders, prostitutes, racial cleansing and a crowdsurfing girl that almost bled to death because she has a disease that makes her blood not coagulate). They mixed the heavy poetry with some stunning live performance of few Teenage classics.

Teenage @ Free Funk Festival

The Teenage were invited to join MC Prei on his show at the Free Funk Festival in Venlo. Because of some troubles with the Department of Justice Andy and Olle could not perform with Prei. One lonely Teenage member on the stage with the big and famous Ginkel family. It became the best Prei performance ever. The night was young, and the groupies even younger.

Famous Dutch tv-host caught with our shirt.

The famous Dutch tv-host, model and fashion-designer Dieuwer, you may be know her from her work with the BNN show 'Spuiten & Slikken', was caught with our shirt. Some guy called 'Rolph von Heijster' (rather a strange name) send us this picture last week. Dj Kindskaeg: 'Teenagecumshotfacials!!!!'

The famous Dutch Dj Kindskaeg showing off with our shirt. He likes us and made a remix of the song: 'Mommy I Love You' one of our hitsingles in the Netherlands. His minimalistic techno style mixes perfect with our vocals. We know what you're thinking, and its true: this is the club-banger of this summer! YEAH!

Bas Bron: 'I Love This Band'

The Amsterdam based producer and label-owner Bas Bron, famous for his work with the Jeugd van Tegenwoordig and his own projects Seymour Bits, Bastian and Comtron, thinks we are great. We met him at a Lemon Community party in Perron55, where he performed with his Comtron project. He was wearing our t-shirt that night, that's how we met him. After that night he started making a remix of our 'Live on the Bike' debut record (2005).

Een drie man sterke acapellacoreband die zich beweegt in het schemergebied tussen kutmuziek, performance art en banaliteit – hetzelfde schemergebied waar ook de Butthole Surfers zich bevinden – een band die nauwelijks muziek maakt, maar vooral veel lawaai en plaatsvervangende schaamte tot stand brengt – een band die naar eigen zeggen acapellacore terug naar de basis brengt – een grap die niet grappig bleek te zijn maar toch door blijft gaan – een schaamteloos vehikel voor verkoop van t-shirts – zo'n band: hoe kan je daar iets zinnigs over zeggen? Als je naar een tcf-concert gaat met welke verwachting ook kom je van een koude kermis thuis. Dit is keihard non-conformisme, de enige manier om het te kunnen begrijpen is mee te doen, jezelf tegoed doen aan de absurditeit van de band, aan het pure fuck-you-dadaïsme en aan de sleazyheid ervan. Ja, je raakt misschien een paar vrienden kwijt als ze erachter komen dat je into de Teenagecumshotfacials bent, maar op het moment dat er drie gemaskerde figuren op het podium hun hart en ziel voor je blootleggen – zij het op een ietwat obscure en tamelijk extreme manier – dan weet je weer waarom je er zoveel van houdt: dit is geen muziek, dit is leven. De Teenagecumshotfacials zijn niet goed of slecht, ze stijgen boven dat onderscheid uit. Ze zijn te punk om goed te zijn, maar ook te punk om slecht te zijn. Ze zijn zelfs te punk om punk te zijn. De Teenagecumshotfacials zijn de Teenagecumshotfacials, dat is het enige zinnige dat erover te zeggen valt.

On the 3th of April some guy called Iain organised a Wagner-soiree at his parent's house. Wagner and the teenage share much more than a similar fan base and a great appreciation for each others' efforts to make this world a better place. Therefore, no Wagner-event can ever be called successful if the fathers of Acapellacore aren't there. Since Andy had just been released two days earlier, this was a unique opportunity for the band to play it's first gig as a three-piece since his unlucky capture in January. No Surprise Iain's party went into history as one of the purest Wagner-events in history.
The bathroom seemed the perfect spot to perform. The people went crazy, we went crazy and eventually the toilet-seat got trashed. The shower sprayed all of our fans totally wet and we made a lot of new friends. The 3th of April became a night to remember.

Some Slecht. Shows

The guys of Slecht. who organise party's all over the Netherlands asked us for three special occasions. Straciatella Salmonella and Kapot Hard in Rotterdam and Zeven Zes Acht in Venlo. It became three totally different nights. At the Rotterdam shows we trashed a dj-set of 2000 euros by accident and Olle got in a fight with some cops. And in Venlo we did our show at the girl toilets. Maybe we will put some footage of both shows at our blog.

Teenage@Radioshow

The guys of Venlo Verantwoord asked us to come to the studio to do an interview and a show. On the 8th of December we finally got some time to go to their studio for a live thing. It became one of the best programs they've ever made.

The famous youth site Kloeken.nl did a review of our show. Sorry but its a Dutch version. The English version will come soon.

WE ARE DE TEENAGECUMSHOTFACIALS

Ze hebben een streepje voor. Of eigenlijk twee. Veel van de grootste kunstenaars, schrijvers, sporthelden en artiesten krijgen pas na hun dood de waardering die ze verdienen. Slechts een select gezelschap heeft al tijdens het aardse leven het geluk om de mierzoete smaak van alomtegenwoordige erkenning te proeven. Dan weliswaar in een vergevorderd stadium van hun carrière, maar evenzogoed, jaloers zou je op hen zijn. Toch verbleken zelfs die gelukkigsten bij de aanblik van dat wat jong en nieuw is, zoals iets nog nooit jong en nieuw is geweest. De Teenagecumshotfacials.

‘De Teenagecumshotfacials brengen a capellacore terug naar de basis’, schrijven de jeugdige genieën op hun eigen website, maar dat ze zichzelf daarmee tekort doen is evident. A capellacore gaat niet terug naar de basis, maar ontwikkelt zich op een heel nieuw niveau. Melodieuze a capellacore als die van de Teenagecumshotfacials is nooit eerder ten gehore gebracht, zelfs niet in de roerige jaren twintig. Ook andere stijlen zitten subtiel verborgen in de nieuwe lente die Teenagecumshotfacials heet. Luisteren naar deze giganten is als een eindeloze climax; in een krachtige lentezon nippen aan een milkshake op basis van Hertog Drie Chocolade IJs; een zwoele massage op het strand van Ko Racha; het ultieme orgasme in de mond van Felicia Alduan, winnares van de prestigieuze Miss C1000-verkiezing in 2005. Muziek waarvan je schraal wordt, als je geen maat weet te houden.

Natuurlijk zijn de heren internationaal. Allang, maar hun wortels vergeten ze niet. Zoals het lidwoord ‘de’ dat trots voor hun naam prijkt - het vervolg als het ware aankondigend - tot in de eeuwigheid zal wijzen op hun Hollandse inborst, op die manier is ook Venlo voor de Teenagecumshotfacials zeker geen gepasseerd station. Wethouder Peter Freij zou een kans voor open doel missen als hij de populariteit van de charismatische bandleden niet gebruikt in de nieuwe imagocampagne Venlove. En niet alleen Freij. Heel politiek Venlo moet de Teenagecumshotfacials omarmen. Geen twijfel, niks schichtig toekijken. Burgemeester Bruls heeft de welluidende naam van stads trots nog niet over zijn lippen gekregen, maar hij weet diep van binnen dat ook hij een Teenagecumshotfacial is. The Beatles horen bij Liverpool, Jan Smit bij Volendam en de Teenagecumshotfacials bij Venlo. En dat is maar goed ook.

BEOORDELING: Twee streepjes hebben ze voor, maar het mag na dit betoog duidelijk zijn dat ze vijf sterren krijgen.

We were doing a show during a student party in Rotterdam, but when were checking out the house before our show we met Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch guy that killed Natalee Hollaway. Because our member Andy was in jail we asked Joran to join us. With a special song together with Joran and became a very special night.
